LIND Surf

The brand

Surf anywhere there's water.

LIND Art & Technology was founded in San Francisco and Stockholm with one ambition: to make an electric surfboard that actually feels like surfing. Not a toy. Not a novelty. A beautifully shaped EPS and epoxy board, carved by surf shapers, powered by a 20 kW jet they engineered entirely in-house.

No waves required. No exposed propellers. No special launch — carry the board under one arm, pack the battery and jet in a backpack, and surf any flat-water anchorage on your itinerary. Carbon Yachts supplies LIND boards as part of our on-board Tenders & Toys program, with factory handover available alongside European deliveries on request.

THE TECHNOLOGY
LIND electric surfboard in use on flat water
01Waves optional

Surf wherever there's water.

LIND's waterjet sits flush inside the board's frame — no exposed propellers, no foils to manage, nothing below the hull. That means any flat water becomes a break. Drop it from the swimstep at anchor, carry it across a beach, launch it from a tender: wherever the yacht stops, the session starts.

LIND modular drivetrain components — board, battery and jet
0215-second setup

Board, battery, jet. One backpack.

LIND's drivetrain is three standalone pieces — board, Long-Range Battery (3.1 kWh), and Jet (20 kW / 27 hp). Slide the components into the board's frame, close the locking arm, and you're in the water. No tools, no wiring, no saltwater drama. The battery and jet pack into a single backpack; the board goes under one arm at 7 kg. One hour on the charger refills 45 minutes of ride time.

03In-house technology

Every component designed from scratch.

The waterjet, battery pack and control electronics are all LIND originals — no off-the-shelf drivetrain, no outsourced motor. The 192-cell battery has 48 embedded temperature sensors and real-time individual cell monitoring. Over 50 sensors and microprocessors run on an always-on mobile connection, so the board is diagnosable, updateable and serviceable remotely. It is engineering that belongs in a performance EV, built into something you carry under one arm.

LIND Jet 20 kW waterjet unit
04Purpose-built power

27 hp. 40 mph. One surfboard.

LIND's in-house waterjet empties a bathtub in two seconds and propels the board to 40 mph (65 km/h). The 192-cell Lithium-ion battery packs twice the energy density of a Tesla Model S into a frame that slots under the board and is naturally cooled by the water. Fifteen power gears on the wireless remote graduate acceleration from beginner-smooth to full throttle — and the same remote triggers a kill switch the instant you fall.

Custom Builds

Your board. Your brief. Your art.

Since the drivetrain is completely separate from the board itself, the Canvas shape is just the starting point. LIND’s Custom programme lets you specify every detail — shape, colours, materials, finish, even original artwork — and build a one-off that belongs to no one else. Whether you want something understated or something that stops a dock, we can connect you with the LIND team to begin the conversation.

FAQ

Frequently asked about LIND Surf.

LIND boards are jet-propelled electric surfboards designed to work on flat water — no waves needed. A 20 kW waterjet built flush into the board's frame powers the ride; a wireless remote with 15 gear settings controls acceleration. The result replicates the feel of surfing on any flat body of water, from a marina to a sheltered anchorage.

Prior surfing experience helps but is not required. LIND's 15-gear controller lets you start at very low power and work up gradually. The midlength board (6'9") suits beginners and cruisers; the shortboard (6'3") suits riders looking for tighter, more responsive turns.

The LIND Long-Range Battery (3.1 kWh) delivers up to 45 minutes of ride time. The Fast Charger (3,200 W) restores a full charge in approximately one hour — practical on board any yacht with shore power or a generator.

No permanent installation is required. The board, battery and jet are three separate pieces that assemble in 15 seconds without tools. Rinse with fresh water after use, charge the battery, and store in the supplied boardbag and backpack. LIND's onboard connectivity enables remote diagnostics from their engineering team.
