Palma brought the YYachts fleet together in June for the first YYachts Cup. Held from 24 to 27 June 2026, the gathering introduced a dedicated YYachts class to the Superyacht Cup Palma Richard Mille, placing owners and their yachts at the centre of a shared racing programme.
Nine YYachts joined the occasion, with six taking to the racecourse. The fleet included the Y7, Y8 and Y9, accompanied by owners, families and friends. It was a chance to see yachts from across the range sailing together in the same waters.
Three races, three wins
The newly launched Y7 Beati made a strong impression, winning all three races to take the inaugural YYachts class title. Distancia finished second, with the Y8 Calabash completing the podium in third.
For the judel/vrolijk-designed Y7, Palma offered an early appearance among established members of the fleet. The result adds a racing chapter to the story of the new yacht, whose revised cockpit and accommodation are explored in our closer look at the Y7.
Owners at the heart of the fleet
The first edition brought a social dimension to the racing, with families and friends sharing the occasion. Owner-driven sailing was central to the event: a fleet connected by its choice of yacht, brought together through time on the water.
A gathering like this also offers a different way to encounter the range. Seeing several yachts together puts individual designs into a wider setting, from the Y7 through to the larger Y8 and Y9. For prospective owners, that sense of a shared sailing community is part of the appeal.
The released film captures the racing and crews aboard, with Palma's coastline behind the fleet. It is a lively look back at the June gathering and a chance to see the yachts working together on the racecourse.
