Inside the YYachts Y6: space to make your own

Three or four cabins, an owner’s suite with room to relax and four interior concepts give the Y6 a distinctly personal approach to life aboard.

The interior of the YYachts Y6 begins with how its owner wants to spend time aboard. Guests staying for a weekend, family joining for a longer cruise or a quiet place to work each suggest a different use of the available space.

The 5.75-metre beam allows for a generous saloon, with seating and dining arranged beneath the coachroof windows. Warm timber, pale upholstery and understated lighting give the interior shown here a calm, welcoming feel.

Room for the people aboard

The standard arrangement has three cabins: an owner’s suite forward and two twin guest cabins aft, each with its own bathroom. The separation between the forward suite and aft accommodation gives both owners and guests their own space.

Layout 2 adds a double guest cabin for a four-cabin arrangement. Layout 3 keeps three cabins and gives the owner’s suite a sofa, creating a place to read or sit away from the saloon.

Further options include a forward crew cabin, a dedicated workspace or an additional double guest cabin. The drawings are a useful starting point for discussing priorities: how many people will regularly stay aboard, how much privacy matters and where quiet time fits into the day.

Four starting points for the interior

Milano, Baltic, Sugi Ban and Glacier are the four interior concepts developed by David Thulstrup with the YYachts Design Team, led by Francesca Modica. They offer different directions in colour, materials and atmosphere, with scope for personalisation.

Choosing a concept is part of a wider conversation about daily use. The feel of a cabin, the light around a dining table and the finishes touched every day all contribute to whether the yacht feels like a place to spend time.

The Y6 layout drawings show the main arrangements and options together. Carbon Yachts can help work through them, starting with who will be aboard and how the owner would like to live.
