Finalist in Best for Adventure
On 8 September 2025, Virtue Yachts announced that the V10 Cabin had been named a finalist for the Best of Boats Award 2025, in the Best for Adventure category. Worth stating plainly: this was a finalist placing, not a category win.
Even so, the category is the interesting part. Best for Adventure is not about outright pace. It reads on whether a boat encourages its owners to go further and stay out longer — and that is precisely the brief the Cabin was designed around.
Why the category fits the boat
Judged on use rather than image, the Cabin's proposition is range in the broader sense: an enclosed helm that keeps weather from ending the day, an interior below deck for shelter and the occasional overnight, and a Petestep hull that keeps the running comfortable when conditions deteriorate. An adventure-oriented shortlisting says the layout's intent landed with the jury, not just its styling.
There is a practical reading for buyers, too. The features an adventure category rewards — protection, range, the ability to keep going — are the same features that determine how often a boat actually leaves the dock. A finalist placing here is more relevant to ownership than a speed trophy would be.
Read from Australia, the category translates well. Our version of adventure boating is less about expeditions than about distance and exposure: long coastal runs, island crossings, days that start calm and end lumpy. A boat shortlisted for how it supports that kind of use is speaking directly to local conditions.
A pattern of recognition
The Cabin's finalist placing followed the V10's Best for Performance nomination at the same award in 2024, and the V10's finalist result in the Motor Boat Awards 2025 Best Sportsboat category, announced in December 2024. Three shortlistings in two years, across two different juries and two different layouts, is a reasonable signal that the platform's strengths are consistent rather than circumstantial.
The V10 Cabin is sold today as the Virtue Yachts V33 Cabin.
