Chris Hrones comes to Carbon Yachts with a rich and diverse background, having successfully run businesses outside the marine industry. However, his deep connection to the water, particularly sailing, has been a lifelong passion. Growing up around boats and spending countless hours at sea, Chris brings a wealth of personal experience and insight to the yachting world.

Chris is motivated by the opportunity to bring fresh and exciting boats to the Australian market. Rather than following conventional paths, he’s focused on introducing vessels that offer something truly unique in terms of innovation, quality, and design. His approach is to elevate the boating experience by selecting brands that stand apart and inspire.

As part of Carbon Yachts, Chris is eager to establish a new wave of brands that reflect his forward-thinking vision, ensuring Australian sailors and boaters have access to the most cutting-edge and unique boats available. Peter Hrones is a leading figure in the yachting industry across Australia and New Zealand, with over 30 years of expertise in yacht brokerage and new yacht sales. Since the early 1990s, Peter has traveled extensively throughout Europe, selecting and importing the very best yachts to introduce to the Australian market. His keen eye for innovative design and craftsmanship has earned him a reputation for bringing exceptional, cutting-edge yachts Downunder with remarkable success.

Beyond his extensive industry knowledge, Peter’s true passion lies in sailing. He is driven by a commitment to grow new brands, particularly Saffier Yachts, in the Australian market. His hands-on involvement in every aspect of the process ensures that these brands not only enter the market but thrive. His enthusiasm for innovative design and sailing is evident in every venture.

National Sales manager (YYachts & Saffier)

Mary Bickley, Sales Manager at Carbon Yachts, brings a wealth of experience and passion to her role. Having been involved in over 500 new sailing yacht sales into Australia and New Zealand with Windcraft, Mary’s expertise and dedication have made her a key figure in the yachting industry.

She is particularly excited about introducing the day sailing concept to Australia through Saffier Yachts, a brand she is focused on growing. The challenge of establishing a new brand in this market is something that truly motivates her, along with working on YYachts and their cutting-edge designs.

From the very beginning, Ben Hrones’ connection to the marine industry was undeniable. Immersed in aquatic environments from a young age, Ben developed a deep passion for boating. His journey began at just 14, when he started working as an assistant at Yoti, and quickly progressed to tendering for local yacht clubs as soon as he obtained his boat license.

Ben has consistently been recognized for his meticulous attention to detail, strong work ethic, and unwavering dedication. His experience, coupled with an innate understanding of the boating world, makes him a valuable asset to the Carbon Yachts team. He has a genuine love for the brands Carbon Yachts represents, from the innovative designs of Saffier and YYachts to the cutting-edge technology of Candela.

With a superyacht Captain’s background, Rowan has spent his career dealing with all aspects of boat ownership. From choosing the right boat, as owner’s representative during the build process, to managing after-sales service and maintaining vessels to an impeccable standard, Rowan has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the marine industry.

With a passion for cruising the Queensland coast, especially the Whitsundays, Rowan is a perfect fit as the Carbon Yachts Queensland Branch Manager.
